Loans are awarded to a person or business and have to be paid back.

Support Services for Veterans and Advanced Beginning Farmers
The Cornell Small Farms Program announced on February 2, 2015 that they received a 3-year grant, from USDA’s Beginning Farmers and Ranchers Development Program (BFRDP), to assist Veterans and Advanced Beginning Farmers (3-9 years of farming experience). View more information on these services.
Dairy Acceleration Program:
The program is coordinated through Cornell University PRO-DAIRY and in collaboration with Cornell University Cooperative Extension. Designed to enhance profitability and environmental stewardship of New York dairy farms. Funding for eligible projects may be used for organization of financial records and benchmarking, creation of strategic business plans, design of new or remodeled production facilities, development or updates of Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plans (CNMPs) and design of Best Management Practices (BMPs) identified in the farm CNMP. http://prodairy.cals.cornell.edu/dairy-acceleration
