Build Your Own Rain Barrel Workshop

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cattaraugus County and Cattaraugus Soil and Water Conservation District invite you to discover the many benefits of installing a rain barrel on your property at this hands-on workshop led by CCE Cattaraugus Climate Stewards and Cattaraugus Soil and Water. This interactive event gives you the opportunity to learn about water conservation and stormwater management—while building your very own rain barrel to take home.

Whether you’re looking to conserve water, reduce stormwater runoff, or provide a sustainable source of water for your lawn and garden, a rain barrel can make a meaningful difference.

During the workshop, participants will:

  • Construct their own rain barrel
  • Learn about stormwater management and best practices for homeowners
  • Explore the anatomy of a rain barrel
  • Review maintenance tips
  • Receive guidance on properly connecting a barrel to a downspout

Don’t miss this opportunity to embrace sustainability and enhance your property’s environmental impact. This workshop is open to all interested individuals.
