CCE Cattaraugus and the Olean Library will be hosting the Energy Literacy Workshop Event. This event is open to all residents of Cattaraugus and Allegany County. In this workshop you will learn how to reduce your energy bills, strategies for energy efficiency, programs and incentives to help, and how buildings use and lose energy.
After the workshop you get to take home a free energy kit! This energy kit includes the following:
- Advanced Power Strip with Surge Protection
- 2 LED light bulbs (A19)
- Window Shrink & Seal Insulation Kit
- Silicone/Rubber Weatherstripping
- Foam Tape for Windows and Doors
- Door Sweep
- 5 Foam Outlet Gaskets and 5 Foam Switch Gaskets
CCE Sustainability Educator, Emily Edmunds, said that she is excited to be able to offer this fun workshop that not only helps you understand what energy choices have the biggest impact but how you can reduce your energy usage in your building and walk home with some helpful tools in your energy kit to get started.
CCE and the Olean Library invite residents of Cattaraugus and Allegany County to mark November 14th on their calendars and plan on attending this energy workshop where you get to take home a free energy kit.
