High School seniors located in Cattaraugus County are invited to enter the Harvest the Future Ag Scholarship Essay Contest sponsored by The Pillittere Group. Essay topic will change each year.
Scholarship Details
- Winner will receive $250
- Winning Essay will be featured on the AgCatt.com website
- 2026 Winner will be announced June 19, 2026
- 2027 Winner and all future winners will be announced at the Annual Cattaraugus County Farmer-Neighbor Dinner
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to high school seniors that RESIDE in Cattaraugus County
- Committed to a career supporting agriculture and rural communities
Application Process
- Complete the official entry form and return to Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism by June 1, 2026
- Application must be signed by a school official or guidance counselor
- Write an essay. The essay should be at least a page (no more than two) in length, discussing the following essay question:
- How do you envision your role in the future of agriculture in Cattaraugus County or wherever you go, and what are your career aspirations?
