Milking It: Moving Milk Quality

Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Southwest New York Dairy, Livestock & Field Crops Program (SWNYDLFC) is excited to partner with Cornell’s Quality Milk Production Services and Springville Veterinary Services on an upcoming milk quality educational event titled, “Milking It: Moving Milk Quality Forward”. On Tuesday, April 14th at 11 AM, dairy farmers are invited to attend this FREE lunch and learn event at Springville Fire Hall on 405 W Main St Springville, NY 14141.

Two informative presentations will be featured during the event. The first, “Partnering for Better Milk: What QMPS Can Do for You?”, will be delivered by Whitney Whaley of Quality Milk Production Services and will highlight the resources and support available to improve milk quality on your farm. The second presentation, “Cutting Costs, Not Corners: Targeted Mastitis and Dry Cow Treatment,” will be given by Dr. Amy Stuart of Springville Veterinary Service, focusing on practical strategies for effective and economical mastitis management.

The event is free for all producers and pre-registration is required. This program is made possible through the generous support of Lactalis and Zoetis, whose sponsorship includes a complimentary lunch for all attendees. All participants will be entered to win door prizes.
