Pfeiffer Nature Center plans 3-part series on soil, natural farming

The Pfeiffer Nature Center will be presenting a 3-part series exploring soil and natural farming.  The programs will take place at the Portville Free Library 2 N. Main St. Portville, NY 

The first workshop will be on July 14th at 6:30 pm on the topic of Soil vs. Dirt: Why Healthy Soil is Vital for a Healthy Planet.  This event focuses on the major components of soil. Registration is appreciated, but not required for this part of the series.

The second workshop will be on July 21st at 6:30 will be a visit to an Organic Vegetable Farm at J Faulkner Farm to observce how a wide variety of produce is grown locally. Registration is required by July 20th. 

The third portion of the series will be on July 28th at 6:30 and will be a visit to Sojourner Farms where attendees will learn about regenerative farming which is an ethical and ecological approach to farming. Registration is required by July 27th.
